Role purpose: Manage a team providing comprehensive trust and company administration services for our international client base and undertaking business development/ marketing opportunities as required.
 
 
 
Core responsibilities:
  •  Ensure the team administers their client portfolios to a high standard in accordance with the Office Procedures Manual and that all work is undertaken/ completed in a timely manner;
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with your team, intermediaries, clients and client advisors;
  • Ensure the delivery of superior client service either personally or through team members as appropriate;
  • Identify any training needs for the team and in the absence of a Senior Administrator, provide day to day training to Administrators and Assistant Administrators to build up their confidence and knowledge of Private Client Services;
  • Review the teams billing and monitoring of debt collection;
  • Have awareness of the teams financial and personal targets (i.e. billing and personal utilisation targets), making sure these are reviewed frequently, with any areas of concern being addressed appropriately in a timely manner;
  • Provide support and guidance to the teams, as required, with all outgoing correspondence and minutes to ensure accuracy and content are appropriate;
  • Undertake the team’s annual appraisals and ensure the team use and complete the appropriate appraisal forms;
  • Undertake regular 1 to 1 meetings with team members to ensure awareness of team workloads and deadlines and provide support training as required.
  • Undertake periodic reviews of the team’s client files and statutory records to ensure they remain accurate and up to date;
  • Implement agreed strategies by developing project plans to meet objectives in conjunction with the senior management team and ensure their delivery, operational effectiveness and compliance with intended objectives;
  • Understand and apply agreed policies and business strategies adopted for the conduct of trust company business and ensure compliance of such by the teams;
  • Understand and keep updated with all regulatory requirements and share this knowledge with the teams;
  • Manage operational risks in accordance with the Company’s professional standards and regulatory requirements, ensuring a complete understanding and adherence to the businesses risk management policies and procedures;
  • Service as a “B” class signatory for the Company.
 
Technical / Professional / Qualification Requirements:
  • ICSA or STEP qualified;
  • Evidence of sufficient Continuous Professional Development (CPD);
  • People management skills and at least 10 years’ experience in the fiduciary sector;
  • Previous management experience;
  • High level understanding and experience of compliance, risk and the mitigation thereof;
  • Understanding of CRS/FATCA and experience of with the classification thereof;
  • High level understanding of Jersey Company and Trust Laws;
  • Good awareness of UK taxation for individuals and its impact on offshore structures;
  • High level awareness of current Anti-Money Laundering (AML) legislation and related codes of practice;
  • Transactional / restructuring experience;
  • Knowledge of Microgen 5Series.
