We're proud of our Jersey team member,
Charlotte Black, who decided to set herself running challenges over the next 6 months - starting with a 6km through the lanes of Trinity in the hope to complete a half marathon in March 2023.
On Sunday 6th November, Private Client Services Administrator Charlotte completed the
Durrell Dash, and raised £220 at the same time! All funds raised go towards Durrell's work saving some of the rarest wildlife on the planet.
Charlotte says, "I am so pleased with completing the 6km run in a time of 32 minutes 33seconds! I placed 29th overall out of 183 people and 13th out of the girls.
On my 27th birthday at the end of September, I felt I hadn’t physically challenged myself. I wanted to push myself out of my comfort zone and set myself a big challenge. Having picked up running over lockdown to help with the mental struggle, I became comfortable with a distance of around 3km.
For some crazy reason I decided on challenging myself to a half marathon. Naturally, this will take a lot of training; I’m now 5 weeks into training and just completed first challenge of the 6km Durrell Dash. It was extremely tough, not helped by the poor weather conditions, but a great first challenge. I am incredibly proud of my time and excited to take on 10K next!"
